Alik fell in love with the arts at a young age, growing up in Los Angeles where her family ran a music school. Her background and exposure to the arts shaped her desire to explore the human experience through storytelling.
During her studies at UCLA, she had the opportunity to live and study in Bologna, where she interned for the Cinema Ritrovato Festival. In 2012, she moved to New York and earned her MFA in filmmaking from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Alik's films have traveled all over the world, from the Toronto Film Festival to Raindance, Mumbai, and Doha. Her feature screenplay won Best Graduate Feature Screenplay at the 2016 Fusion Film Festival and received the Will and Jada Pinkett Smith Family Foundation Writing Award.
Alik is currently writing her first narrative feature. She is based in New York, where she freelances as a director for commercials and branded content.
